3 EASY INFO PRODUCTS YOU CAN CREATE TODAY

If you’ve never created an info product before, the best advice
I can give you is keep it simple!

It’s tempting to try and tackle a big project right out of the
gate — like a home study course, full-blown membership site, or
100+ page ebook.

After all, that’s how all the “gurus” make money, right?

What you don’t realize is how much time and effort goes into
these kinds of products. Even a product creation expert can
spend weeks (even months) developing a high-ticket product.

When you’re just getting started — when EVERYTHING you do has
a steep learning curve — that timeframe can easily blow out…

… weeks turn into months and months turn into years.

And even then there is no guarantee you’ll sell a single copy.

Don’t make things harder than they need to be.

For your first product, aim for something you can create in a
day or two… a week tops.

Focus on a getting a quick win.

The experience and confidence you gain — not to mention the
list of paying customers — will be worth more than you can
imagine.

Here are 3 of my favorite easy info products:

AUDIO INTERVIEW

This is probably the fastest and easiest product you can create.

Grab an expert in your niche, get them on the phone for an hour
and ask them all the questions your niche wants to know.

(I use my Instant Teleseminar account to record interviews, but
you can also use Skype with the Pamela plugin if you’re on a
budget and don’t mind average quality audio.)

You don’t need to be an expert, don’t need to create the content,
and can have a product completed in a few hours.

Once you’ve got the recording you can sell it as an MP3 download,
use a service such as Kunaki to sell it as a physical CD, get
it transcribed and sell it as an ebook.

You could even use it as an opt-in incentive and market your
expert’s high-ticket products on the back end ;)

One question I get asked quite often is, “do people actually buy ‘interview’ products?”

Check this out…

A brand new product, in a market far removed from the
“make money” niche.

No list. No partners. No “launch”.

$27,000 in 4 days.

Impressive?

You bet!

Did I mention that’s a monthly recurring income stream?

There is serious money to be made with simple interview products,
it all comes down to how they’re positioned and marketed.

PRODUCT PIGGYBACK

Here you take an existing product that’s selling well and create
a complimentary product you can sell to the same market.

For example:

One marketer I know got her start in Internet marketing by
creating a WordPress tutorial ebook. She went full-time
within a few months of releasing it.

Another got his start with XSitePro templates and was doing
$1,000′s per DAY right from day one.

Yet another made more than $30,000 with a WordPress plugin in
his first 2 months.

And a product I created that piggybacked on a hot trend has now
turned into an entire 6-figure business all on it’s own.

You can create products that help users get more from the
original product, like a “how to” guide or instruction manual.

You can create products that extend the original product, such
as tools, templates and plugins.

The beauty of creating a product this way is you KNOW the market
exists — you know there are buyers out there, you know exactly
where they “hang out” online.

And you don’t need to be particularly original or creative
to create these kinds of products. It doesn’t take a genius to
create a “how to” guide for an existing product — you just
go through the product/software one step at a time and note
down what you do as you do it.

The other great thing about these kinds of products is the more
popular the original product becomes, the more popular your
product becomes!

They’re doing all the hard work of marketing and you get to ride
their coattails.

TELESEMINAR

Teleseminars are fast becoming one of my favorite product
creation strategies.

They’re super-fast to setup… have a high perceived value…
can be transcribed, sold as MP3′s or as physical products…
and are perfect for teaching and coaching.

They’re also a lot of fun once you get over the butterflies!

You can get an expert in your niche and do a live Q & A, you
can teach your own material, conduct an interactive coaching
class or simply talk about things your niche are interested in.

You can make money selling access to the original teleseminar,

then package and sell access to the recordings & transcripts.

You can even do free teleseminars and then sell affiliate
products on the call!

(And if you’re nervous about doing a “live” call you can simply
pre-record the call with ONLY you on the line, although
personally I get my best material out when there’s the extra pressure of a few people listening in!)

I use and recommend Instant Teleseminar for all kinds of
audio product creation. Bang-for-buck they can’t be beaten.

As usual, I’d love to hear your feedback on this article.
