Great read and perfect timing to find this as I was just talking to a friend about this an hour ago (strange).

The main thing is most people don't even know they have a choice to create what they want and be who they want because like it says, society (not just schools) is created to keep the masses under control and if you take a look at the way most religions are designed...

Thanks for the post Kyle!

Smear yourself in the fray...
that's nice writin'

and how about...
set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height.

It's like Sasha from Bratz says
"The game's afoot people"

how will you remember it?

Hi Kyle

Thank you for posting Daniels article. It certainly brings about thoughts of how life was growing up and now how you conduct yourself in this world... because really we live by our experiences. And more importantly, as a Mum with a young family, how vitally important a role we have to give children the best outlook in life and help them the best way to grow into great human beings with fantastic self esteem and outlook on life. Thanks for the reminder... sometimes we just need that.

"No one else is going to tell you you’re good enough, or smart enough, or qualified enough to do what you want to do."

That's not always true. I was called a "Computer Guru" since school time, but I always did never that term for myself. Not because of lack of self confidence, but calling yourself Guru or Genius simply doesn't fly in the normal business world.

But yeah, your general message is clear, I should be more bold in describing skills.

Thanks, Kyle.

Instead of a sore bum, by claiming a title and being living up to it, people can get sore arms, from carrying all that cash to the bank, back and forth :-)

Amazing what those Google Alerts bring up -- such a powerful tool.

Dan you're the perfect example of claiming a title and THEN making it so, which is exactly how you've got to do it.

If you sit around waiting for someone else to give you a title you won't get much more than a sore bum.
