That's not always true. I was called a "Computer Guru" since school time, but I always did never that term for myself. Not because of lack of self confidence, but calling yourself Guru or Genius simply doesn't fly in the normal business world. But yeah, your general message is clear, I should be more bold in describing skills. “No one else is going to tell you you’re good enough, or smart enough, or qualified enough to do what you want to do.”
